Located in Currimundi on the Sunshine Coast, Robe Street features standing seam and flat lock cladding in elZinc in Slate and Prefa Aluminium in Patina Grey. Designed for coastal conditions, the curved standing seam detailing creates a continuous architectural form across roof and façade.
Working alongside Valdal Projects and Sparks Architects, Ionclad played a central role in shaping the architectural intent of the home. Given its waterfront location, zinc and aluminium were selected for their durability, corrosion resistance, and formability, allowing the creation of the project’s complex curved façade while performing exceptionally in coastal environments exposed to salt, moisture, and wind. This ensures long-term performance in harsh coastal conditions, resulting in a 2023 national award-winning roofing and cladding project where considered design meets lasting materials.
